This book is a collaborative project of Father John Malecki, a psychologist who counsels and prays with persons with Alzheimer’s disease; Maggie Hume, who cared for her mother at home with her husband and five children; Father John Phalen, CSC, president of Holy Cross Family Ministries, who lived through the difficult experience of his father’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease as he was cared for in a nursing home; and Beth Mahoney, the book's editor and director for Holy Cross Family Ministries, who shares her pastoral experiences with those with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.
